CHECK YOUR INSTALLATION

Three Things to Confirm Before Choosing HVAC Scenting

HVAC scenting works best when the way your space is connected matches the way the system distributes fragrance.

1

Only scenting one open space?

You probably do not need an HVAC scent system if one standalone diffuser can serve the complete open area. Compare Large Room Diffusers instead.

Better path: Large Room Diffusers

2

Can the system connect to your ductwork?

Choose the HVAC path only when your installation can use compatible ductwork or ventilation. If compatibility is unclear, confirm the setup before choosing a model.

Confirm: HVAC compatibility

3

Can you reach it for refills and service?

Plan an installation point that remains accessible after setup. You will still need to reach the system for fragrance refills, cleaning, and routine maintenance.

Plan for: Service access

HOW HVAC SCENTING WORKS

What Is an HVAC Scent System?

An HVAC scent system connects fragrance diffusion to compatible ductwork or ventilation, allowing moving air to carry scent through the areas served by that system.

That makes HVAC scenting different from placing a standalone diffuser in one room. The right choice depends on how your rooms and ductwork are connected—not square footage alone.

Uses Ductwork

Fragrance follows a compatible HVAC or ventilation route.

Serves Connected Areas

Useful when one air system reaches several rooms or zones.

Needs Installation Planning

Confirm connection and service access before installation.

HVAC scent system FAQ

Questions before choosing an HVAC scent system

Use these answers to confirm whether HVAC scenting fits your space before comparing individual systems.

Which Aromadd HVAC scent system is best for a typical whole-home setup?

For several connected rooms served through compatible ductwork, U5 is the best fit for a typical whole-home HVAC setup. It combines a 600ml fragrance reservoir with touchscreen and App controls.

What is the difference between U5 and U4?

Both can connect to compatible HVAC systems. U5 has a 600ml reservoir with touchscreen and App control. U4 uses a smaller 300ml format with App and manual controls, plus an LCD display and low-oil alert. Choose based on the format and controls that better fit your installation.

When should I choose U50 instead of U5 or U4?

Choose U50 when your installation specifically needs a much larger fragrance reservoir. Its 5L capacity is designed for a single integrated HVAC system where reducing refill frequency is more important than using a smaller unit.

When do I need U100?

Choose U100 when you need two independent scent zones. It uses two separate 5L fragrance systems that can be programmed independently, making it different from simply choosing a larger single-reservoir HVAC diffuser.

What is the difference between U50 and ScentStation 5L?

Both use a 5L fragrance reservoir and support HVAC installation. ScentStation 5L also includes infrared oil-level detection and can operate through HVAC or as a freestanding system. Choose it when those features matter to your setup; choose U50 for a dedicated integrated HVAC path.

Do I need an HVAC scent system for one large room?

Probably not if you only need to scent one open area. A Large Room Diffuser is usually the simpler fit. HVAC makes more sense when compatible ductwork needs to distribute fragrance through several connected rooms or areas.

Whole-Home HVAC

For fragrance distributed through compatible ductwork.

Larger Reservoirs

5L options when fewer refills matter to the setup.

Independent Zones

Separate scent control when two areas need different programming.

Installation Support

Confirm ductwork, access, and system requirements before installation.
